So incredibly grateful to @2nd_fiddle for this @chicagotribune review of @eartaxifestival, which closed on Monday evening. So much work to be done and so many conversations to be shared together. ❤️
These are the last two blossoms of an orchid gifted to me by my very beloved grad school apartment-mate @maria.grenfell. The orchid went dormant literally hours after I came home from the last event of @eartaxifestival after it had been blooming non-stop since she gave it to me in October of 2019. When I think of all that has happened since then, I can't help but feel just an overwhelmingly profound gratitude for our entire Ear Taxi Festival team and a deep sense of awe for not only the innovation and artistry of Chicago's community of musicians, but their commitment and ability to persist despite all the challenges of our current times - physical, emotional, societal, and cultural.
